“On behalf of everyone at Digital Futures, I would like to thank Ledger for their generous gift and am excited to see how the cryptoeconomics lab harnesses this cutting edge technology to augment their impactful research,” said UC Vice President of Research Pat Limbach. “The expansion of the capabilities of the lab will help UC to attract and retain top talent in the field. Gifts like the donation from Ledger help us to meet our Research2030 goals as we seek to cultivate and grow programs of excellence.”
The university’s adoption of the Enterprise Platform also resulted in the gift of digital artwork from an alumnus. Created by Rafik Anadol, “The Exposition” is AI-generated digital art. By using Ledger’s multi-authorization digital asset wallet management tool, UC ensures that digital assets like this piece are protected from external threats and governed by meticulous internal access protocols.
In collaboration with this donation, Fifth Third Bank is providing an off-site location for the secure backup of digital assets. This strategic partnership showcases how higher education and the financial sector can collaborate to foster innovation, ensuring that Cincinnati remains a hub for financial technology and education.
