Graffiti at Attleboro playground cited in report on huge spike in antisemitic, racist incidents nationwide

ATTLEBORO — The Anti-Defamation League says there has been a significant spike in antisemitic incidents across the county since the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre in Israel and included the racist and antisemitic graffiti found at Balfour Riverwalk Park last month in its findings.

The vandalism at the park is one of 312 antisemitic incidents cited between Oct. 7-23. Preliminary data from ADL Center on Extremism indicates that reported incidents of harassment, vandalism and assault increased by 388 percent over the same period last year.
