Antisemitic graffiti found at DOT headquarters in Newington
NEWINGTON, CT (WFSB) – An investigation is underway after antisemitic graffiti was found at the Department of Transportation headquarters in Newington, according to officials.
The graffiti was found in a bathroom Wednesday morning, said DOT Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto.
According to Eucalitto, a similar incident happened this summer.
“I will reiterate what I said in July: Antisemitism, and hate and bigotry of all forms, have no place at CTDOT. Anyone who holds those beliefs in their heart is not welcome in the CTDOT family,” said Eucalitto.
Internal security is working to identify who was nearby when the vandalism happened, DOT officials said.
Police are not investigating, the DOT said.
