To The Daily Sun,
I appreciate Barrett Chapin’s public apology to me in his letter to the editor. Before he recently retired, Dr. Chapin was my physician and former colleague. He was always thoughtful and considerate to me, so I was mystified about his initial opinions about the “found” antisemitic graffiti which occurred during the past High Holiday season. Because I am Jewish, and have had relatives perish in the Holocaust, the subject of community hatred, particularly antisemitism, is extremely important to me. That is why I felt it was imperative for me to respond to Dr. Chapin’s initial claims.
