Neil Ellis, who runs The Triple Plea in Halesworth, said he believes the pub was graffitied in the early hours of Wednesday morning, which has left him worried for the safety of himself and his wife who live above it.
Mr Ellis said: “We are pretty sure it happened between 12am and about 3.30am because our dogs were disturbed and we heard them and my wife heard some talking outside, but it was the middle of the night and we didn’t really think a lot of this to be honest.”

The graffiti, which was sprayed all over the front of the pub and on the windows, included derogatory and racist language.
Mr Ellis said The Triple Plea has never been the target of a graffiti attack before.
He added that he believed the graffiti was accusing him of being racist.

“I am definitely not a racist, and it is upsetting really,” he said.
“It has unnerved my wife, as you can imagine, and the first thing we did was rush out the back to make sure the cars and everything were alright, because we were worried that could be the next step.”
He said he cleaned off the majority of the graffiti on Wednesday and the pub will be open as normal on Wednesday evening.
“It’s worrying the impact it could have on the business,” he added.
A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said: “We received a report this morning of criminal damage, namely offensive graffiti across front-facing brickwork and windows of local business premises on Broadway in Halesworth. It took place at some point between 19 December at 6pm and 20 December at 8am.
