Two juveniles have been referred for charges in a months-long graffiti spree in the village of Oregon, police reported.
From April through December of 2023, the Oregon Police Department said it has received about 14 complaints of graffiti to Lycon Inc., the Wisconsin Southern Railroad, Oregon Fire Department, and many village of Oregon properties.
The investigation identified two juveniles as being responsible for a significant amount of the damage and two counts of damage to property (damage over $2500) for each juvenile will be referred to the Dane County District Attorney’s Office, Oregon police said in a statement.
Restitution will be requested for the damage and repair costs, police said.
