SEVERAL restaurants have made the decision to close up shop, one blaming several instances of crime for its closure.
In Seattle, Washington, four separate establishments have either closed or announced plans to close.
Each of the businesses are located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, leaving patrons at a major loss.
Blotto Pizza, Rancho Bravo, 8 Oz Burger and CO on Broadway have all announced their plans to shut down in the last month.
Kevin Chung owner of 8 Oz Burger told local news, KIRO 7, that he tried to stay in business, but it was not sustainable.
Along with the rising cost of labor, Chung pointed to instances of crime that have driven him to close up.

He specifically touched up window smashing and graffiti that has been occurring along storefronts in the area.
“This decision, though difficult, is driven by the realities we face: rising rental rates, increasing labor and food costs, especially as we commit to sustainable, local, and organic products and our concerns for the safety and well-being of our staff and customers in the current environment,” read the restaurant’s closing announcement on Instagram.
Customers have been left saddened and desperate to get one last taste.
“This is sad. All burgers are not created equal and yours is the best I’ve ever had. We have flown to Seattle just for your burgers and rings! This coming from someone who’s been in kitchens for 25 years!” wrote one customer.

Blotto Pizza, similarly closing within weeks, announced their end at the start of the year.
“Today we’re coming to you with some somber news. This coming week will be the last week of service at Blotto,” the announcing Instagram post caption read.
“This same week 3 years ago we took the plunge and started work on the restaurant that’s been our second (or maybe our first) home ever since.”
Blotto Pizza is closing largely due to their landlords selling the building.
“While our tables may be emptying for the last time, our hearts have never been so full,” they wrote in goodbye.
Their patrons were devastated to hear the news.
“Noooooooo!!!!!!! We’re crushed but also we get it and we’re so proud of you guys. What a run,” shared on customer.
