The iconic Willie Nelson statue located at the corner of Lavaca Street and West 2nd Street in downtown Austin was vandalized overnight.
A Downtown Austin Alliance crew arrived at the scene early Friday morning to clean up the graffiti spray-painted on the pedestal of the bronze figure.
The extent of the damage appears to be minor.
