LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Since 2020, there has been an increase in graffiti across the Little Rock area.
Some forms of graffiti are considered vandalism, and statistics show that it can cause an area to appear unsafe.
A local group is working to partner with city officials and work to clear the city of graffiti, all while giving local artists a space to display their creativity.
The group is called Little Rock Graffiti Database and was created on Facebook to encourage members to document areas around the city where they are seeing graffiti.
Group founder Michael Bynum said while the group is still in the infant stages, the goal is to give the community a voice and have a conversation with city leaders about how to separate mural art from vandalism in the form of graffiti.
For more information about the group, you can visit their Facebook page at Little Rock Graffiti Database.
