LAKEWAY, Texas — The Lakeway Police Department has been investigating a series of graffiti incidents, some of which are anti-Semitic, since April with the most recent cases over the weekend.
Police say the first case was reported in the City of Lakeway on April 7 with graffiti illegally painted on property in and around the city.
Police do not believe there is any organized group behind these acts of vandalism.

Four other graffiti-related incidents were starting as early as March just outside of the city limits and were reported to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. They have since been covered and repainted by city officials.
The City of Lakeway Mayor Tom Kilgore said in the following statement:
The City of Lakeway has zero tolerance for any anti-Semitic or other hateful graffiti or activities of any kind. The Jewish community is an integral part of Lakeway, and I want to make it clear that safety for our Jewish neighbors and all of our residents will remain the top priority. We will continue to investigate these incidents. And for those who consider doing similar acts in the future, we will remain vigilant, and will not tolerate vandalism or hate of this nature. We will pursue the proper punishment to the extent the law allows.
No arrests have been made or persons of interest identified at this point.
