Gun Found During Gang Graffiti Vandalism in Santa Rosa

Gun and spray can recovered from vandalism on Sunset Avenue 8-31-23 (Santa Rosa Police)

Santa Rosa police found a gun while responding to a call about gang-related vandalism. Last Thursday night, police received a call reporting that about 20 people were “tagging” several residential buildings in the 900-block of Sunset Avenue with what the caller believed to be gang-related graffiti. Officers responded and detained several suspects as they fled the area. They located a discarded loaded revolver that was unregistered as well as fresh graffiti associated with criminal gangs. Two people were arrested for probation violation but charges have not been filed for the gun or the graffiti violations.
