One of the first pieces you encounter at Ilya and Emilia Kabakov’s exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art is an installation whose hospital-tone walls surround a lone chair. From the backrest, colorful threads stretch toward the ceiling like thoughts wafting from the invisible person sitting there. A bulb emitting yellow light hangs from above.
