BENNINGTON — The Bennington Police Department is currently investigating multiple of acts of vandalism in the downtown area of Bennington.
Police were first notified on Saturday morning at approximately 7 a.m. of the presence graffiti on the pavement of the Rail Trail. Officers located the vandalism where persons had used spray paint placing graffiti on the pavement, per a release from BPD.
Throughout the day, BPD was notified of or located other locations where spray paint graffiti had been committed. These locations were identified as Rotary Park, Pocket Park and the back of the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union building. All these locations are in close proximity of each other.
The Town of Bennington Buildings and Grounds personnel were immediately contacted to begin the process of removing the graffiti.
