RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — Clergy along with members of Miracle Faith Christian Center reached out to WACH Fox after they found graffiti on the church’s marquee over the weekend.
The tag says “Their is NO GOD.”
Members say Caughman Road Elementary School is directly across from the church and they are concerned about the vandalism and if other communities in the county are experiencing these types of incidents.
To add these remarks and tags on a church and an elementary school is simply disgusting.
Senior Pastor Deloris Ward said Miracle Faith Christian Center is not a large congregation and it doesn’t feel good to know that an adult or child would vandalize something that they worked so hard to build.
“We use the marquee to display the events that we host that we believe would be of benefit to the Lower Richland community.”
Ward said with all that is happening in the world, including the attacks against Israel, this incident is motivation to “continue to get out into the community to work together as a people.”
The body of Christ has to stand firm now, we stand firmly with the people of Israel. Jesus demonstrated compassion to the world and the church should be the solution to what’s happening in the world.
