Church Street Art and Craft Show hits the 40-year milestone

Waynesville’s longest running street festival will celebrate its 40th year Saturday, Oct. 14, when the Church Street Art and Craft Show takes over Main Street.

What began as a small gathering of less than two dozen crafters has grown into a renown juried show with over 100 artists from across the Southeast. During an era when downtowns across America were withering away, the show kick-started what would become one of the greatest downtown revitalization success stories.
