CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Halloween weekend is here and there are tons of things to do in the Coastal Bend!
Here is a list of events going on this weekend:
- This weekend happens to be Dia De Las Muertos and Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery in Kingsville will be holding a special event to mark the occasion which is a tradition in which families remember their loved ones who have passed and celebrate the continuity of life. The cemetery is asking people to bring pictures of their loved ones to be placed on their altar. It’s happening Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery in Kingsville.. that’s located at 8-35 west caesar avenue.. the event is totally free.
- The 2023 Dia de los Muertos Festival will be held on Saturday, October 28, from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m. in downtown Corpus Christi. There will be entertainment featured on three stages, including Latin-influenced rock and pop music, Mariachis, Ballet Folklorico, cultural dancers, youth performers, local DJs, and regional up-and-coming bands. The event also includes a Hecho a Mano Art Expo, kids’ activities, an ofrenda display on Mesquite Street, art exhibitions, a lowrider car show, and various demonstrations.
- WHAT: Sunday Dogday – DOGTOBER FEST
WHEN: October 29th
TIME: 11AM – 2PM
Join us SUNDAY, October 29th for Sunday DOGday – DOGTOBER FEST! We will have a dog-friendly Family Art Time project that you will get to take home, a dog costume contest with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The art project will take place from 11-1, and the costume contest and winners will be announced at 1:30 pm! We can’t wait to see everyone’s art creations and costumes!
RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR DOGS AND DOG OWNERS:
1. Dogs must be well-mannered. All dogs MUST be kept on a leash (no longer than 6 ft.) or in an enclosure or enclosed in a dog-friendly enclosure (strollers, etc.).
2. For the safety of both our human and canine attendees, your dog must be up-to-date on all its vaccinations.
3. Your dog should be wearing a collar with proper ID (if possible).
4. NO female dogs in heat!
5. When bringing your dog to Sunday Dogday, please use common sense! If your dog gets nervous around large crowds or does not interact well with people or other dogs, is not a social, please leave them home.
6. If your dog should have an accident, clean-up stations are located around the Art Center. It is your responsibility to clean up after your dog! Failure to do so can result in immediate removal from activity.
7. Please note that visitors will be asked to leave if their dog is not getting along with others and disrespecting the property. - Grupo Frontera with Special Guest Milla 22

- Annual Trunk or Treat Fall Festival
Free Rides, Food, and Fun - Dress up in your Halloween Costumes and come out to enjoy tasty treats, sports cars, and music at the 3rd Annual Meticulous Detailing Trunk or Treat. Sponsoring this year are American Detail Supply, 3G Flooring, Chayos Street Food, Tejas Transporting, Meticulous Detailing, Meticulous Tint and PPF, and SAR Clicks- Rafay Shaikh. We also welcome any other car clubs or businesses interested in joining please call 361-730-0055.
- FAMILY ART TIME is held every WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY at The Art Center of Corpus Christi! ALWAYS FUN – ALWAYS FREE Unplug with your family and create a make-and-take art project home with you every week! Our weekly art projects will usually take about 15-20 minutes and are easy and fun for all ages! Activities include: mixed media, painting, drawing, hand building and more!
- Your vampire friends are hosting a Spooktacular Event that you won’t want to miss!! Join us on Sunday, October 29th from 3 PM – 6 PM for the 2nd Annual Spooktacular Event at the Coastal Bend Blood Center for a family-friendly Halloween celebration!
Enjoy indoor trick or treating, costume contests, face painting, outdoor games, balloon making, haunted blood mobile tours, photo booth opportunities and so much more!! Enjoy pizza and cannolis, donated by Grimaldi’s Pizza! This event is completely free and all community members are invited to attend our Spooktacular Event! - Join CCHD for a Spooktacular Halloween Bash!
It’s that time of year again, and we’re raising the spirits with the most epic Halloween Party in town!
