The world of photography and artistic expression are about to collide. On Saturday, October 14, from 1pm to 5pm, The Story Garage presents “House of Macabre,” featuring the works of Frederick Seaton, August Lascola, and Cheryl Gorski. This ultra creative collection of works by Buffalo artists and artisans is a unique collaboration that is perfectly suited for The Story Garage.
These legendary Buffalo artists have come together to showcase their artistry along with a diverse creative by the name of Frances Parson. The result is a fascinating look into a realm of artistic mystery.
“The best ideas for art rise from the deep unconscious,” says August. “As an artist I am most successful when guided by its rules and impressions. I’m honored to be part of this group show with dear friends that I’ve known for over half my life. This day has finally manifested, we spoke about this for years. Frances and I collaborated in utilizing old windows provided by Buffalo Reuse. Her artistic carpentry skills create an esthetic feel to complement the imagery. We both wanted to combine materials that are found while walking the beach.”
