Iron Hill Museum targeted with racist graffiti in ongoing campaign of vandalism

The Iron Hill Museum was the victim of racist graffiti last week, the latest escalation in a three-year campaign of vandalism and harassment against the nonprofit organization.

Staff members and volunteers discovered the latest damage Oct. 5 after arriving for a meeting with a security system installer to talk about upgrading the cameras surrounding the museum on Old Baltimore Pike. Sometime overnight, the vandal had scrawled the n-word on approximately 10 informational signs on the museum property, which includes a restored African American schoolhouse, a science center and 20 acres of wooded trails.
