A person suspected of graffitiing the Portes des Bombes in Floriana last week is expected to be charged in court on Tuesday afternoon, the Police have said in a statement.
One person is expected to be arraigned in front of Magistrate Lara Lanfranco at 12.15 pm about damage caused to the iconic Floriana monument on October 17, the statement said.
The monument was found vandalised in the early hours of the morning, with morning commuters finding the words “I love you Dali” spray painted on the masonry.

Restoration experts were quickly dispatched to the site and efforts to clean the graffiti started quickly under the supervision of the Superintendence of the Cultural Heritage.
A Floriana councillor said last week that calls for a camera that was removed from the rear of the gate have fallen on deaf ears.
The police also said they would be arraigning other people in connection to the importation of cannabis and disobeying police orders.
