Last Friday, Tori Hornick dropped by the Roswell skate park to unveil the latest sketches for future artwork intended for ramps and cement bowls, the noontime sun heating up her dark hair. Artists who want to paint the skate park are required to get approval from the Parks and Recreation Department.
Hornick expressed dismay as she pointed out the vandalism of Enrico Enmaya’s yellow-headed roadrunner, legally painted on the main skate bowl on a backdrop of cornflower blue as easy and endless as an ocean. A yellow crescent moon cradled the bird, its red wings stretched.
