Gucci and Christie’s Present New Digital Art Auction

Open for bidding until November 28, 2023, on the Gucci Art Space—an online gallery launched in July 2022—the auction features works from nine distinguished artists, focusing on generative systems: Alexis Andre, Alexis Christodoulou, Amy Goodchild, Harvey Rayner, Jacqui Kenny, Jo Ann, Melissa Wiederrecht, Sasha Stiles, and Thomas Lin Pedersen.

Challenged to explore new realms within Generative Systems, these artists aim to revolutionize fashion by acting as conduits to the future. Each artist tackles a theme from Gucci’s archives, reflecting on the brand’s iconic classics and aesthetic chapters. From Guccio Gucci’s early days in 1897 to the birth of legendary symbols like the Horsebit, Flora, and Gucci Rosso Ancora, the artists utilize generative systems to transport these themes into new horizons, fostering meaningful dialogues between different eras and aesthetics. In this way, the past seamlessly intertwines with the future, offering a fresh perspective on the evolving narrative of Gucci.
