Man returns to prison for role in killing outdoorsman living in tent in rural Clare County

HARRISON, MI — A Harrison man is heading back to prison for his role in the 2021 killing of an outdoorsman in his tent. The homicide’s triggerman is already behind bars.

Clare County Circuit Judge Roy G. Mienk on Nov. 21 sentenced 33-year-old Kenneth J. “Bubba” Young to three concurrent terms of 11 to 60 years in prison. Mienk gave Young credit for 853 days already served and ordered he pay $1,434 in fines, costs, and fees.
