Candles play a significant role in numerous beliefs andreligions around the world. Within the Zion Church, they signify a person’s daily life and spiritual being. The candle also symbolises the light and peace. When asked about the significance of the candle, a priest referred to Jesus saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have light and life” (John 8:12).
