There are Black Friday deals, then there are Black Friday deals available only at a local arts and crafts fair — and the fun of meeting and interacting with artists and artisans.
The Fairfield-Suisun City Visual Arts Association and Village 360 will host such an event beginning Nov. 24 and through the late-November weekend in Fairfield. Admission and parking are free.
The arts organization’s Black Friday Arts and Crafts Fair will be the first-ever by the Village 360 and FSVAA, offering artwork from more than 20 fine artists and crafters at the Village 360, 4949 Suisun Valley Road.
Fairgoers can expect to have choices in a variety of artwork and one-of-a-kind gifts. They include acrylic, watercolor, oil painting, color and black-and-white photography, center pieces, ceramics, fused glass, drawings, jewelry, books, kitchen items, digital art, mixed media, wooden games, and more.
The Landing will offer an assortment of food, The Point a selection of drinks, and BackRoad Vines vineyards a variety of fine wines. Stroll among the vendors and enjoy the holiday music, sip fine wine, and purchase holiday gifts for friends and family.
The fair will start at 11 a.m. Nov. 24 and continues to 7 p.m. On Nov. 25 and 26, it runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Additional information for vendors and the public is available at www.fvaa-arts.org/fsvaa-art-festivals.
While visiting the Village 360, fairgoers may ask for a private tour of the new art gallery there in the BackRoad Vines Winery Club Room. You can view or purchase all the artwork on display at any time at www.fvaa‑org/fsvaa-galleries, said Dennis Ariza, president of the FSVAA and director of the Solano Town Center Gallery.
