ALBANY, N.Y. — Racist and offensive graffiti was found written on a CDTA bus stop on the corner of Washington Avenue and South Swan Street in Albany.
Racist language can also be seen written along the walls of a bus shelter on an advertisement with Black doctors.

A spokesperson at CDTA tells us that they had no knowledge of the graffiti until we reached out. CDTA said they are sending a crew out immediately to remove the graffiti.
“We want to make sure that any waiting area or bus shelter within CDTA system is welcoming and inclusive,” the spokesperson said. “We do not tolerate this kind of action or language.”
We reached out to Albany Police who say they’ve not received any additional reports from bus stops around the city, but they are currently looking into the situation.
