Activities

Westchester Country Day School recently opened a new Lower School playground.

A ribbon cutting was held Nov. 15.

Fifth graders and seniors, who are paired together as buddies throughout the school year, enjoyed playing on the playground for the first time following the ceremony.

The “nature-based” playground features an inclusive design and equipment that encourages movement, social play and creative exploration. The most exciting feature is a large hillside slide and climbing wall surrounded by the wooded landscape. It features climbing structures, swings, slides, interactive panels, musical instruments and sport surfaces.

N.C. A&T’s Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement successfully hosted its third annual Aggies Day of Service to open the university’s 97th homecoming celebration.
