Three Attleboro city councilors cite why they did not sign resolution condemning racist graffiti

ATTLEBORO — Three city councilors did not sign a joint resolution put forth by the city’s Human Rights Commission condemning racist and antisemitic graffiti found scrawled on playground equipment in a downtown park earlier this fall.

The document was brought before councilors and the mayor for their signatures — and has since been forwarded to the school committee for members to sign — after the discovery of the graffiti in September at Balfour Riverwalk Park.
