Vandals hit playground in Wallingford with vulgar graffiti

WALLINGFORD, CT (WFSB) – Vulgarities and profanity were written on playground equipment in Wallingford.

Police told Channel 3 on Thursday that they have been investigating a criminal mischief complaint at the Grand Street Park.

“Part of the park was vandalized in sharpie marker,” said Lt. Stephen Jaques, Wallingford police. “Multiple profanities and derogatory terms/statements were written on park items.”

Channel 3 cameras recorded the graffiti on a playscape among other things.

“We do not know how much it will cost to repair the playground, and no arrest has been made yet,” Jaques said.

Police said the case remained under investigation and that additional information would be released if an arrest was made.
