People think Banksy has been to Broxtowe after street art appears

A piece of Christmas street art appeared on a street sign in Nottingham – but it’s already gone. Bells Lane in Broxtowe had some festive cheer added to it with new street art.

Pictures the word “Jingle” on top of the road sign creating “Jingle Bells Lane” alongside a rat holding a paintbrush. With red tinsel and the jingle artwork, on social media people joked that Banksy had visited the street.

Whilst the new artwork was first spotted on Christmas Eve (Sunday, December 24), locals say that it is no longer there after someone had taken it. It comes after more festive street art was spotted in Mapperley

Street art of Del Boy Trotter from Only Fools and Horses appeared at the former Mange Tout restaurant on Woodborough Road. It showed the iconic TV character wearing a Santa hat on the derelict Italian and French restaurant building.

Only Fools and Horses fans will recognise Mange Tout as one of Del Boys’ classic lines. The derelict Italian and French restaurant has been untouched for years.
