FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The City of Fort St. John is calling for artists to take on the 2024 Community Arts Council Street Banner project.
This year’s theme is “Festival of the Arts,” as the city is playing host to the 2024 Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival in June.
The project is to create four street banner designs to be displayed in pairs.
According to the Fort St. John Arts Council, preference will be given to artists with present and past ties to the North Peace area.
The arts council will make the final decision on the designs, and the artist chosen will be notified on or before February 23rd.
Successful artists will work with the arts council and the banner company to finalize the images by March 15th.
The artist of each of the four final designs will receive a fee of $250, and the images will then become the property of the arts council.
Entries are due on February 12th and can be submitted to the Fort St. John Community Arts Council at info@fsjarts.org.
More information can be found on the art council’s website or at 250-787-2781.
