CONWAY — The MWV Arts Association’s Main Street Art Gallery in North Conway Village is highlighting the watercolor and pastel paintings of Kathleen Gilligan with a reception on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Gilligan is a retired Boston school teacher who has enjoyed living in Mt Washington Valley since 2007. She works in multiple media — watercolors, oils and pastels. Her interest and study of art goes back to her teen years. Gilligan’s aunt, Elizabeth H. Gilligan, was a talented artist who brought Gilligan to museums, painted with her frequently and introduced her to a variety of media.
