A new immersive exhibition showcasing subway street art and graffiti is coming to Leicester. Pixel x Repainting Subway Art will feature large 3D animated projections that promise to transport people into a virtual world of subway trains.
The projections will feature original graffiti artworks from street artists around the globe, celebrating the rich history of graffiti and street art at the Leicester Museum and Art Gallery in the city’s New Walk. The exhibition, made up of two parts, is set to launch on Saturday, February 3.
It will be another “state-of-the-art” display from the team behind the Bring The Paint street art festival, Graffwerk, which has teamed up with local arts organisation MBD (Metro Boulot Dodo). MDB is well known for its work in virtual reality and 3D animation will bring the first half of the exhibition to life with its animated installation.
