Norwich ― Police are investigating the discovery of two swastikas found spray painted onto the rear wall of Uncas School last week.
Board of Education Chairman Mark Kulos said a school official discovered the graffiti last week, but he said the offensive symbols apparently were old and may have been painted several months ago.
“I don’t know if any of the students saw it,” Kulos said. “It bothers me that the thing is there.”
School maintenance workers painted over the symbols, Kulos said.
Uncas School Resource Officer Jared Homand is investigating. Anyone with information about the graffiti is asked to contact Homand at (860) 886-5561, ext. 3562.
