Readers respond: Make government landowners clean graffiti

Having owned a building in downtown that needed constant graffiti removal and not always having enough time to clean it off, I can sympathize with the city requiring a fine if business owners don’t react in a timely manner.

What really gets to me, though, is that the city doesn’t require the same of itself and other public property owners. When will our City Council demand that city, county and state agencies play by the same rules they create for businesses and clean up their own graffiti mess in a timely manner?
