YORK, Pa. (WHP) — York artist Roger Myers finished an honorary mural inspired by local legend Loretta Claiborne.
Claiborne is a world-renowned Special Olympic athlete hailing from York County, PA with a competitive career that tracks back to the 1970s.
The mural depicts Claiborne on the Penn Street Art Bridge, painted across massive walls that celebrate her powerful career in the Special Olympics.
Myers says the mural represents so many things like joy, history, and dedication.
He hopes that the city of York will always know Loretta’s name, story, and impact.
