
SANTA MONICA, CA — Police are investigating a recent rise in reports of antisemitic graffiti found throughout the city, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
The graffiti was discovered in locations including near Pico and Cloverfield boulevards marking sidewalks, trees and light posts, according to a release.
“Let me be clear: there is no place for hate in Santa Monica,” police Chief Ramon Batista said. “We are appalled by these cowardly acts of anti-Semitism. Our department is fully committed to upholding the safety and dignity of all members of our community.”

The graffiti is being removed by the city’s graffiti removal team, police said.
Residents are asked to report newly discovered graffiti by calling the police non-emergency number at 310-458-8491 or through the Santa Monica 3-1-1 app.
