Bloomington police investigating pro-Palestine graffiti on City Hall

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — An investigation is underway after city officials found graffiti bearing pro-Palestine messages last week on Bloomington City Hall.

On March 27, an officer with the Bloomington Police Department was dispatched around 8:50 a.m. to 401 North Morton Street, the address for City Hall, after receiving reports that vandalism had been spotted on the building’s south side.

BPD confirmed that messages reading “Indiana Tax $$$ Funds Gaza Genocide,” “Free Palestine,” and, “Let Gaza Live” were spray painted by an unknown individual. The messages have since been removed, according to BPD.

BPD said the messages were spray-painted between 10 p.m. on March 26 and 6 a.m. on March 27.

Police will review video surveillance footage to identify the person or group of people responsible as the investigation continues.
