Matthew Draxton will share his report on NewsChannel 21 at Five

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — The City of Bend has seen a rise in graffiti lately, with many locals spotting new spray paint in both public an private spaces, from parks and buildings to signs and other walls.

Matthew Draxton is speaking Wednesday with Bend Police, city officials and the Bend Park and Rec District, as well as local businesses who’ve been impacted by the rise in graffiti.

He’ll be discussing how much the vandalism and similar crimes have risen over the past few years, why it’s happening, what cleanup efforts look like (and cost), what the consequences are for those who get caught, and what the city is doing to curb graffiti vandalism.

His report will be on NewsChannel 21 at Five.
