Eastside’s 311 Breakdown: Graffiti removal

Graffiti Removal Requests Chart

311 service requests for the 12-months ending April 30, 2024. Average Requests for every 100 residents is based on the most recent neighborhood population figures from 2018.

What kind of service requests does your neighborhood make from 311, the city services hotline, website and app? Crosstown, a nonprofit news organization at the USC Annenberg School of Communication, has compiled the total number of requests over a year for homeless encampment removal, pick-up of bulky items, graffiti clean-up and other services.

We’ll be showing charts of some of the main service requests and complaints made by Eastside neighborhoods over the next few weeks. This week, we focus on requests to remove graffiti. Boyle Heights had by far the largest number of requests, with East Hollywood and Echo Park coming in at second and third place.
